very sturdy hardware

We built our new home (modern farmhouse) about 4 years ago and for door hardware, originally, we installed expensive, large rosette, egg shaped, solid bronze hardware. Which looked great, but my wife always wanted the crystal knobs -- we just couldn't find them reasonably priced until now. Just to test as a sample I ordered a two pack. They arrived well packaged and I could tell they were of solid quality. They felt heavy in the hand and the spring in the knob was heavy, yet effortless and smooth to twist. I installed one on our pantry door first (very quick and easy install, but more on that later). We were both VERY pleased with the result. These things look great and are of high quality (as compared to high-end Schlage or better). Couldn't be happier. Well, ok one thing about that, the rosettes could be larger. They are standard size, but our old hardware has larger ones so we're in a "door touch up" panic that is probably keeping us from installing theses on the rest of the doors right away.

The install was easy. There are two silver female screw studs that have to be twisted on where the 2 hardware screws typically set. This is to extend the reach of the screws thru the door thickness. Other than that, standard install --- super easy.

Now, we'll see how the longevity holds up, but we are more than pleased thus far.
